About Julie:
I was born in a small town, and nothing is more important to me than community and family. For that reason, I listen with both my ears. I remember my customers’ names and the details of their jobs. After I get off the phone with the customer, the work has just begun. We work as a liaison between the customer and the vendor when it comes to material warranties. I am personally invested.
What is the number one reason that a claim for a manufacture warranty is denied?
Please set a reminder in your phone to have your carpet professionally cleaned every 18 months! Our hands are tied and there is nothing we can do – your warranty with the manufacturer will be void if not.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
We are a small family business. I have a lot of flexibility to create new efficiencies in my position. This is my favorite part of the job, but also the most challenging. When the company started (in 1984), everything was on paper. Now everything is digital, and I love taking advantage of new technology.
On that note, I have learned that everyone’s job at Roberts Carpet & Fine Floors is interconnected. Our number one shared goal is achieving the best possible consumer experience. Before implementing change, I need to ensure that I am not just making my job easier, but I am also making things easier for my co-workers and our customers.
Money is no object. What floors do you put in your home?
Luxury Vinyl Plank! I have a dog and a cat. We have all these little cousins, under 6 years old. We want to have our family over and we want something suitable for them to have fun! Durability and ease of maintenance is more important to me than anything else.
