About Frank:
Flooring chose me! My first job out of college was as a sales rep at a flooring distributor in Houston, Texas, and I was there for 15 years. Roberts Carpet was my biggest account, and Sam Roberts (Founder of Roberts Carpet & Fine Floors) took a vested interest in me and my career development. Sam, for whatever reason thought “this is a nice kid, I’m going to teach him about the world of business!” In 2000 I pitched Sam the idea of a new build/custom division of Roberts Carpet and Quorum was born.
Frank is a natural leader with contagious energy. His appreciation and knowledge of hardwood flooring is second to none. He is passionate, strong-willed, and the person you want on your team, and he considers every client a member of his team.
Our clients can trust us; We are only as successful as our clients. We are knowledgeable and honest. Flooring dealers come and go; we have longevity. We have the resources, investment, structure, and capital, and most importantly, we have the best installers, our operation is superb, and our service only continues to get better. We have a new, exceptional sales associate and we are ready to add more! The future is phenomenal.
What is your favorite part of the job?
The people. We have a fun office. It is not a corporate environment. Everyone is always joking around. And most importantly, our clients are great. The personal interactions make (the job).
What is the most rewarding part of the job?
Walking into a house and thinking, “we nailed it.” This floor is spectacular, this house is spectacular…and we were a part of it.
Money is no object. What floors do you put in your home?
Rift and quartered, bleached walnut. Walnut is a dark brown floor naturally, but what many people don’t know is that you can bleach floors just like clothing. Wood bleach turns Walnut almost white. There is not a floor in existence that looks like bleached walnut. It has less grain than Oak, more than Maple, and bleached it becomes this magnificent light floor. Wide planks, as long as possible. Matching walnut treads, always, with something funky on the risers. One of the most underutilized surfaces at the home are risers. Maybe hand-paint the risers or 4x4 Mexican tiles, or even use old license plates.
